Ørgan’Øpera Highlights!
Ørgan’Øpera is a voice and organ recital portraying pieces from the world of opera and organ transcriptions of select operatic showpieces, including the works of Wagner, Brahms, and Richard Strauss, along with songs by Francesco Sartori, Juan Gabriel and Armando Manzanero at Saint Dunstan’s Basilica, Charlottetown. The recital is brought to life by Leo Marchildon, organist and music director at St. Dunstan’s Basilica and countertenor Vhikthør Vhølkhen.
"Träume – Studie zu Tristan und Isolde" ("Dreams"), from the Wesendonck lieder composed by Richar Wagner.
"Cien Años" (English: "One Hundred Years") is a song written by Mexican songwriters Rubén Fuentes and Alberto Cervantes.
"Mon cœur s'ouvre à ta voix" is an aria from the opera Samson and Delilah composed by Camille Saint-Saëns.
"Adoro" (English: "I Adore You") is a song by Mexican singer-songwriter Armando Manzanero.
